Ways To Volunteer
Alternative Funding
Volunteers are needed to help with corporate sponsored fundraisers. (Campbell’s Soup Labels, Box Tops, recycling programs). This can be done at home.
Beautification
Volunteers are needed to enhance our building and our grounds.
Book Fair
Volunteers will assist set up and take down of the book fair. The fairs are usually held in the Fall and Spring.
Communication
Volunteers are needed to copy flyers and/or place them in teacher mailboxes.
Data Entry
Volunteers are needed to enter names in databases, spreadsheets, etc. This can be done at home.
Family Fun Events
Volunteers are needed for the various events throughout the year, such as Dances, Cheetah Fair, Fun Run, etc.
Field Day
Volunteers are needed to assist the PE teacher with Field Day in October.
Fundraising
Volunteers will assist with coordination, unloading and distribution of our fundraising programs such as Fall fundraising products, Gingerbread Shop, Family Portraits, Holiday Live Auction and Square 1 Art.
Garden of Discovery
Volunteers are needed to help maintain and support Cedar Point’s outdoor classroom.
Go Green
Volunteers are needed to assist in supporting Cedar Point’s recycling efforts and other green initiatives.
Grant Writing
There are many grant opportunities available to schools and not-for-profit organizations to help support much needed programming and funding. Volunteers are needed to help find and submit grant applications. This can be done at home.
Hospitality
Volunteers are needed to help support our appreciation events for teachers, administration and staff.
Market Day
Volunteers are needed to assist with set-up, distributing and take-down on Market Day pick-ups.
Office Assistants, Health and Pictures
Volunteers are needed to help the office staff, the Nurse for vision screening and Picture Day(s).
Space Week
Volunteers are needed during this special week in May to help support the programs planned.
Yearbook
Volunteers are needed to help produce, take pictures and distribute the yearbooks.
