What is Space Week?
Space Week is a week long event that consists of activities relating to space exploration.  Hands-on exhibits, classroom workshops, a portable planetarium, visits to the Udvar-Hazy and special presentations are part of the week long activities. Space week inspires the students of Cedar Point to realize the vision of our space pioneers, and introduces them to the wonders of the universe.

If you have a special interest in space, or a special connection to space and/or aviation that you would like to share, please contact Cindy Brennan.  We are currently looking for grant funding to help bring a “Rolling Rainforest” to the school along with a program conducted by the Science Museum of Virginia. Any suggestions or “inside” information would be most welcome.

PTA Point of Contact:  Cindy Brennan (703) 392-9611, cmbrennan@comcast.net.

Fast Facts: Space Week is held on conjunction with Space Day, an award-winning grassroots educational initiative with culminating events and activities held on the first Friday in May every year.. Visit www.spaceday.org for more information.
