R.O.A.D to Reading Success |
All Cedar Point Families are invited to join us for the Grand Opening of the R.O.A.D. (Reading Opportunities and Decisions) to Success Check-Out Library this Thursday, July 10th from 1-2 p.m., in the Dr. Drummond Memorial Reading Room (adjacent to the library.) During this time, books will be available to read and check out at your child's reading level. Mrs. Mary Lou Vasey, Cedar Point Reading Specialist, will also be available during this time to answer your reading questions and help with book selection. If your child was given a "Magic Number" (reading level) by their teacher, it will be helpful to have with you when checking out books.
While this program is targeted at grades K-2, older children are welcome to read and check out any books that interest them.
Following the grand opening, the R.O.A.D. program checkout library will be open every Thursday from 1-2 p.m. for your children to come and return the books they've read and check out new ones.
It is very important for children to continue to read over the summer. We hope that many Cedar Point students will take advantage of this wonderful new program funded through the Cedar Point PTA.
