As we start another school year at Cedar Point, we are excited about the many programs and activities we have planned for you and your family to enjoy. We can't do it without YOU! We hope you will become a part of PTA to help make the school year better for all of our children.

There are all kinds of ways to be involved with PTA: attend meetings, volunteer at events, become an officer.  

Have ideas for a program, a class or an event you'd like to see PTA do? Let us know! We are always looking for new ideas.  Just don't be surprised if the reaction is, "sounds great.  Run with it!"

Other concerns we hear is that people don't have a lot of time or can't do it at x time (during school or not during school). Don't worry! Volunteering for the PTA doesn't require a specific time commitment. We're happy to have as much help (1 hour a month? one hour a semester? great!) whenever you can give it (busy during the day? or can only help during school hours? again, great!).  Whatever time or assistance you can give is appreciated.  You will make a difference in your child's experience at Cedar Point and be a positive role model of volunteerism.

Don't forget that Monday, September 22nd is the next Pick-Up Day! Sharon Sites, Market Day chair, will meet you there from 6:00 - 7:00pm in the cafeteria. There is no Market Day Pick-up in July.


If your fifth grade student is working towards being on the Hall of Champion for the 2014-2015 school year and is in need of school volunteers hours, please contact Marjorie Fellows at  President@cedarpointpta.org and she will forward your name to the specific Chairperson. School volunteer hour opportunities include: Back to School packets (August), Plant a Flower Day (Fall), Bingo (Fall, Winter & Spring), Winter Wonderland (Dec), Cheetah Fair & Silent Auction (March), Cheetah Dash & Wellness Fair (April), and Marquee changes (weekly to monthly)
